But I can shoot fast as fuck and get them all on target. Its weird, I can concentrate and barely get on target but if I shoot as fast as I can they are all on. Maybe its because I shot ipsc which is at least shoot double taps everytime. It kinda pisses me off. When I shoot with others its embarrassing until I let go.

Are you shooting handguns or long guns? I wouldn't expect bullseyes with handguns.

handguns, and many can. I actually barely made b class in ipsc, its alot harder than one would think.

It may be a personal preference thing. I treat handguns as a self-defense weapon where speed trumps accuracy. A grouping that's 6" across is terrible if you're playing the bullseye game, but if Crackhead McGee just jumped out of the bushes...a 6" grouping magdump will stop the threat faster than precision you'll never muster with a real world adrenaline dump.

We shouldn't magdump...Crackhead McGee could have friends nearby. Better to leave them guessing how many you fired.

My first year shooting limited I actually won in memphis, but then some open class shooters came down the next year and schooled me.

Take some video of yourself when concentrating and when letting go, see what you can in the vid, it may help you find the flaw in the concentration game.

Somehow that songbird from San Saba Texas, Buster Scruggs comes to mind.

Might be too much or too little trigger. Handgun accuracy is fickle, takes a lot of work. Nothing wrong with buying a half hour of instruction to get some advice on what you need to practice. Putting in range time when you don't know what you need to work on is fun but not always productive.

Anyways that's why you go for center mass. You don't need to be 100% accurate.

Are you practicing for accuracy or defensive use?

[–] 1 pt 1y

Im always defensive, I just wish I could have accuracy also.

Most cases will be fairly close range, I like to practice point shooting where I don't use the sights. Throw about a 1' target between 7-10 yards out and get the first round on target drawn from concealment within 1 second, more you practicethe faster you'll get.

Oh no, Im entirely confident with a handgun. Within about 25 yards. I just dont get when I concentrate I do worse.
