Those magazines were probably always propaganda. Basically, they publish a constant stream of laughably ridiculous and insane bullshit to establish themselves as crazy schizo rags, so when there is an actual conspiracy or false flag or whatever, they publish stories about those things too, so those real conspiracies are associated with crazy bullshit/fake news.

Yes, that's exactly how counter-intelligence works. Lump operation threatening information into the aliens/flat earth/tinfoil hat realm and it becomes immediately discredited by any 'rational' person.
