The Homebrew Channel works on wii and wii u. It enables you to play N64 games, Gamecube games, NES games, etc., etc., ON your wii or wii u.

The only thing you need to start playing games is a computer, the winrar application (free) on your computer, a 2GB SD card, and your wii or wii U.

If you have smash bros brawl, follow this guide:

https://www.hooktube.com/watch?v=nDP1wNE0qVI

If you don't, you'll use the Letterbomb method to install the homebrew channel:

https://www.hooktube.com/watch?v=ItsaNNT7RcI

To get Nintendont, which allows you to play Gamecube games, follow this guide:

https://www.hooktube.com/watch?v=JS6e2ddV2Dc

To get Gamecube games, search on duckduckgo "[game] iso" or "[game] rom". Find the least shady link, download the game, and the guide directly above will show you how to play it.

Done.

Note: The 2GB SD card is for installation of homebrew. Though you can put your gamecube games on it if you'd like, it will only fit one game. After installation, you can use a larger SD card (up to 32GB). If you do this, this card must hold nintendont as well as the games. You can also use a flashdrive just to hold more games.

Can elaborate or post pics of my SD card if anyone wants.

There is also a homebrew channel for 3DS and for Switch although hacking those is a bit more involved process than the Wii was.

I don't have a switch yet, so I'm not super familiar with hacking it, but Plailect has made a full guide for hacking a 3DS here https://3ds.hacks.guide/

And, ofc, it allows piracy as well as homebrew. My personal favorite thing to do is use a virtual console injector(gbatemp.net) on my PC to create custom virtual console ROMhacks. The Super Metroid randomizer(dessyreqt.github.io) and A Link to the Past randomizer(vt.alttp.run) ROMS can both be injected and played on the go.

Ok so I know about homebrew and use it to load .ISO's I convert to WBFS and use USB Loader....what caught my attention yesterday was loading game cube stuff since I've never tried it at all. Did some searches on it and looks like everything has to be setup just right for it to work (have not tried yet).

Have you used usb loader or different way?

Not sure if I know exactly what you mean. Do you have nintendont? I've never converted my iso files to wbfs.

No I don't have it (yet). I used one of the exploits to get homebrew and run USBLoader to run WII games from an external hard drive. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but thought they (WII games) had to be in WBFS file format before USB loader would be able to use them.

Oh I see. I've never tried to play wii games that way. YouTube will probably be your friend.
