I know Shasta County well. The fact that this article calls the county a “pocket of right wing extremism” is so far off base.

Very white county. Good people. Lots of farming. It’s one of the very good counties in California.

Edit: they’re are right wing extremists by today’s standards — God-fearing, law abiding, US Constitution loving.

"a pocket of right-wing extremism"

I also am familiar with Shasta, its politics are varied across its different communities. To characterize the entire county as right-wing is dead wrong.

Like many leftist articles, it used much shaming language and accusations with no citations provided at all for any of the claims it makes.

For a big election, hand-counting ballots will require hiring 1,300 temporary employees and will cost an estimated $1.6 million ... That doesn’t include the cost of adding space to count as many as 95,000 ballots...

Never mind that it was done this way for many years not that long ago, with the ballots counted by precinct, not sent to a centralized new counting "space." If my math is correct, 1300 people would each need to count only about 73 ballots each. What's so hard about that? Is the cost of using Dominion machines really that much less? Questions...

Dominion isn't trustworthy. They can cry about it all they want but that won't make Dominion trustworthy.

Well, that's one single county. Only another 3000+ counties to go ...
