True fact: During the rampant inflation of postwar Germany, somebody trundled an entire wheelbarrow full of paper marks to the front door of a bakery. He asked the proprietor if he could trade the wheelbarrow of money for a single loaf of bread. When the proprietor laughed in his face, he dejectedly went back outside to find the pile of marks laying on the sidewalk, somebody had stolen his wheelbarrow and dumped the load to make a quicker getaway.
