I haven't seen the first Wonder Woman movie. But I've heard from people I trust that it's "Fairly okay" and "somewhat entertaining". But those aren't the words you'll hear from people who put "representation" above all else in their movies.
Of course I'm talking about Resetera, who would love a terrible movie if a woman or minority were the lead and it even slightly reflected their politics. So, how about Wonder Woman 1984?

On top of the movie not being very good, there's the fact that when you read between the lines, Wonder Woman actually raped a man! A lot of mud is being slung at this movie, even from far-left-leaning individuals! On the same page as where I linked, people are even admitting that Captain Marvel wasn't very good, a phrase only Nazis would have uttered a year ago.
Unlike the first Wonder Woman, which was written by "dudes" and directed by a woman, 1984 was written and directed by Patty Jenkins, who royally screwed up the story and made Wonder Woman rape an innocent man. Just more proof that having a vagina doesn't automatically make you qualified to write a movie with a female lead. Now watch Patty screw up her upcoming Star Wars Rogue Squadron movie, too. Maybe "representation" isn't the best thing to emphasize, is it?
