Gotta disagree with this one. Just my opinion though.
What he's trying to say is that if everything could be rationally explained, there would be no place for faith. Of course, the writers instead chose to have him say it in a cunty way that implies religion renders people incapable of rational thought. They never said TV was for smart people
I think, unfortunately for Hollywood writers, crapping on everyone's religious affiliation is very outdated. It was "edgy" in 1990, now it's just kind of sad. It reminds me of teenage angst. Just rebelling for the sake of it, but everyone sees through it now.
All these Jesus bashing 90s teen posts are from the guy who admits to downvoting content he doesn’t like.
He also lectured me about downvoting stuff I don’t like on my first day,
One of these days everyone is going to look around and see that all the fags saying Jesus is a joke have no integrity
I don't understand the ones that go out of their way to say how stupid religion is. Like, great congratulations. Imagine doing that with anything else.
"Hey why are you eating a salad? I'll have you know I hate salad."
Religion cannot be rationally explained. No one has actually recorded god or seen him in modern times. Religious people take it for granted god exists aka faith. I do not take anything for granted anymore. I bet the muslims believe as hard if not harder in allah but I reject that also.
But you can't reject everything that isn't irrational. Where do you draw the line? A man catching a football has to have faith that the ground is still there in front of him as he looks over his shoulder. There are plenty of every day things that require some form of irrational faith, even if it's small. How do know when to be rational? It seems like madness
Well unless your in Florida and a sink hole opens up the ground will be under you and I tend to watch where I'm running. I'm talking faith in something my 5 senses can prove is there.
But muh House face and Jewish written character dialog is so strongk against Jesus!
Hence why it took the old gods killing each other for the old ways of human sacrifice to die off. The problem comes from the fact that the average human realized culture CAN change, and they forgot to stop and ask IF it should change. Stopping human sacrifices, a good thing. convincing a generation to all swap their gender is a trick worthy of Baal the lord of lies, or Moloch the great deceiver.
Makes me wonder what all Jesus' angels are good for if this crap can be pulled on humanity without ANY intervention in YHWH's part.
We don't need human sacrifice, though live broadcast death penalty would be nice for major crimes like drive-by shootings or government traitors might get some people to straighten up. Hell bring the guillotine back and have head dropping into buckets on prime time. Government might make some cash by making it pay per view or auctioning off each event to the highest bidder.
Putting up a pay wall goes against the concept of sending a message that a public execution creates. Put this up on PBS, it is already setup to broadcast across the nation.
