Well, this looks interesting and very disturbing. Sometimes I wonder if companies like Intel are behind things like this. It would be a great way to hit back at AMD after all of the microcode problems with Intel processors after the years.
TLDR; If you have a system that is already (or easily) compromised, then might allow you to implant malware directly into the firmware that runs on your CPU and it has apparently been around for a LONG time on AMD chips.
