The "Turtle" or "Terrapin" hack was and still is big news on a couple of the Linux security forums, not to mention the reddit neckbeard basement dwelling subhumans. If, indeed, SSH can be broken, then all communications between any type, or any kind, of computing device would be potentially vulnerable. However, right now this exploit must have a "Man in the Middle" entry point.
Of course we aren't supposed to say "Man in the Middle" (except in a three-way sex act between a person identifying as a male and two persons identifying as females or something like that.). I suppose that nomenclature will be changed Real Soon Now. Just like using "Slave" and "Master", "Child Process", in programming; and again, who knows what else offends the perpetually offended.
But I digress, after trying to think of the various combinations of a "Person in the Middle" when there are 87 different genders, identities, I rolled my chair out to the back porch and poured 3 fingers of local smooth as silk moonshine (filtered and cooked four times). I sat there as my chair wheels squeeked back and forth and said out loud: "Fuck a Duck!" (used to just be an old Marine Corps expression. Now, I just don't know.)
ANYway, the important thing is to keep your personal computing device out of the physical or electronic hands of anyone who would insert the Terrapin into your system. OMG, there I go again, now its sex with turtles.
