Now, they're like the phone system in the United States. The only reason that we still have working infrastructure is because Ma Bell laid down sound engineering practices that have lasted. Even the most stout of structures breaks, and Apple is just coasting on what came before them.
And it’s going to break. The new Liquid Glass is an example. I’m not vision impaired, but this shit is far from ADA compliant. It’s like they fired their entire cripple team.
They have to “keep innovating” to sell phones. If they just pumped the brakes the devices would die on their own. The computers slowly but the hand held would faster. People drop shit.
But they keep adding shit no one needs or wants. Ios9 was the pinnacle of dictation. You could fucking mumble rap to it and it would just parse the words.
Now it try’s to use some onboard logic (ai is turned off and not available in my devices) tries to figure out a sentence and what you are trying to say.
But that’s fucked because it’s trained by Gen Z dribble lol omg cya stfu rtfm.
So instead of just listening and associating the word it spend processor time and battery trying to conjugate the sentence structure, often typing the right word and then removing and replacing with what it thinks you want to say.
I can almost speed talk to iOS9 And it gets it.
