I followed the recipe. Watched every bit of footage from the infomercial, instructional vhs, and a few people using it on YouTube. What I learned is the dough must have to be super dry. What I made was way too sticky. Dusting in more flour helped a little. It was getting late so I shut it down.

I scooped out the dough that was stuck, made a couple balls with it, then made a biscuit out of one and flattened and sliced the other.

Pic is of the biscuit I cooked in the air fryer, and the “pasta” that came out of the machine.

I had Parmesan and butter in a pan that got ignored because I was having such a hard time with the dough sticking in the machine so it burnt up but I still mixed the noodles in it because I’m not picky.

I don’t know what the noodles are supposed to be called (gnocchi?) but I swapped discs to a thick one because nothing was extruding. After adding at least 3 tablespoons more flour to the mix, this is what came out. I plated it all in a 10+ year-old Mr Lid.

I’ve learned a bit and will try again.

Unfortunately jewtube videos are likely your best bet here. I have a pasta maker collecting dust in the basement that my wife bought years ago. It's mostly plastic so I'm sure it would shed microplastics at this stage if used.

Yeah this one is from like 1992….

It can be difficult to juggle things in a kitchen. Getting all the things done at the same time and without burning/ over/ undercooking them. I'm happy to see you got something out of the machine! Congrats!

I have memories of my mom rolling out big sheets of pasta, hanging them over the back of a chair on top of a clean dish towel to dry them out a little before running them through her pasta machine. I’ve also watched Bobby Flay mix up dough and immediately run it through a pasta machine lol. Drying it out a little makes sense. Nice going. I hope you try it again.

Not giving up! Thanks for sharing the mom memories.
