A sentence is a complete thought. A paragraph is one or more sentences on the same idea or theme. Paragraphs are indented. Sentences begin with capital letters and end in periods. The comma is a particularly useful punctuation mark that indicates a pause, and can assist the writer in the clear expression of his thoughts.
