Check it-- there is an error here. The projected prices given of $3000 to $7000 are for MEGAWATT hours, not kilowatt hours. The Saturday peak price of ERCOT West was $5500 per Megawatt Hour, not per Kilowatt Hour as stated. Still very high, but whew!! And, it is largely due to the huge demand for energy during this ongoing unprecedented nationwide cold snap, so it should be a somewhat temporary condition.

On one hand they say this cold is caused by climate change, on the other they say migrants are pouring in due to climate change, presumably hot and dry weather, sending them here.
