Trotsky invented the word "racism" to only apply to Whites.
Well, no. Trotsky did apply the word racist to Slavophiles, who opposed communism. The communist jews who destroyed the Russian Empire and established the USSR deigned to exterminate slavs down to the last child.
“The Austrian Germans and Magyars will be set free and wreak a bloody revenge on the Slav barbarians. The general war which will then break out will smash this Slav Sonderbund and wipe out all these petty hidebound nations, down to their very names.” ~ Friedrich Engels; The Magyar Struggle; Neue Rheinische Zeitung; January 1849
Trotsky was not, however, the first to use ‘racism.’ There are several examples of the French form, raciste, far preceding Trotsky’s use of the word. Pensée raciste (racist thought) and individualité raciste (racist individuality) are found in the 1906 volume of La Terro d’oc: revisto felibrenco e federalisto, a periodical championing the cultural and ethnic identity of people in southern France. Here the word ‘racist’ was used without a hint of negativity.
“Je forme des voeux pour la réussité de vos projets, car je suis persuadé que, dans cette fédération des peuples de Langue d’Oc luttant pour leurs intérêts et l’émancipation de leur pensée raciste, le prestige de Toulouse trouvera son compte.”
“I express my best wishes for the success of your projects, because I am convinced that, in the federation of the peoples of Langue d’Oc fighting for their interests and the emancipation of their racist thought, the prestige of Toulouse will benefit.”
Even earlier examples exist in Charles Malato’s Philosophie de l’Anarchie (1897), where are found both raciste and racisme. The first English usage was in the Oxford English Dictionary, citing ‘racism’ to Richard Pratt in 1902, five years after Malato’s use of raciste and racisme in French. The first use of the word ‘racism’ had positive connotations. “Racism” meant “protecting oneself and one’s people.” It meant that these people had a common identity, which was worth saving. For millennia, racism has protected peoples the world over from extermination–from ethnic genocide.
And that's why I don't argue with you. You and your facts. Trotsky weaponized it. They love to redefine words. That way books have to be re-written and old writings suddenly mean something else entirely.
For example, I like HP Lovecraft. He was one of the most brilliant writers who is starting to look prophetic is some "circles". They have suddenly discovered he is this White supremacist monster, when in his time, he was considered tiresomely ordinary. He had bad experiences in New York, and regarded the teaming masses as alien and terrifying. They contaminated his culture by bringing in foreign religions and he feared for his way of life. To me, that is a normal reaction, but today that is heresy. They are in the process of crapping all over everything he did.
They are in the process of crapping all over everything he did.
Like that one “Lovecraft” DLC for Borderlands (was that it?) with an immortal dyke whose husband is trapped in the body of another nonwhite dyke or something… But it’s “lovecraftian” so it’s guilt by association.
Wait till you see Lovecraft Country. I didn't last 5 minutes before I was losin it. It started off about persecuted Blacks and evil White people. Lots of women. Lovecraft never wrote about either very much. His stories were about curiosity leading to disaster. They start out like, "I am writing this with a pistol in my mouth in case this cosmic horror shows up. I have totally fucked up." None of the PC agenda so they must cannibalize it and destroy it.
