But I still have to physically touch the target in some way, and the flyback from a television is much more effective at generating large amounts of high voltage over a long period of time.
The jug bomb is more of a distraction, a shatter and boom to temporarily incapacitate the target. Then you move in, secure the area, and get the high voltage out when you're trying to extract information.
