That's a spicy one. Had one of the 7 pot chocolate peppers last night with dinner. It had a good smoky flavor to it followed by some sweat inducing heat, it didn't break out the hiccups as others have. It wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, but it was quite pleasing. I'm thinking flakes for pizza or jerk chicken/pork, or a sauce with some cherries.

Very nice indeed! I definitely get hiccups after a certain threshold is crossed. Glad to hear the taste profile. I'll need to grow some!

Indeed! I always tell everyone, at the very least, if you don't like hot stuff you could sell it.

flakes are great. just be careful processing. doesn’t take much to vaporize that pepper oil

I've heard that. There was a process shared in an earlier post I'm going to try. It involved smoking the peppers for a bit.

i’m gonna smoke my serranos on the traeger next month after harvest. i have been dehydrating - setting up the electric dehydratorin the garage with windows open. i used to process with a mortar and pestle outside after that, but have designated a coffee grinder instead. food processor would probably work good too.

hear-hear. I use 'em for all three of your examples. Most of my chocolate pod sauces are cherry-based.

Nice! When I get the good harvest I'll message you for some recipes.
