i wont lie - they are a hard one to get going - none of my chocolate borg-9's sprouted (5) and I replanted 5 more and none of those sprouted either.
I bought a few fresh pounds a few weeks ago at the international market, but they were a huge disappointment.. no flavor.. little heat. i just dehydrated them for flaking to put on 'za..
I will get some photos this week of what we have currently ready for transplanting and even the wee choco's..
what i do for planting is pop the seed 'just' under the dirt and keep it moist, but not enough to bring the seed back to surface. I add under grow lights and keep on a planters heating pad all day on a rack covered with a shhet to keep it at least 80F.
That's how I started mine. I did a few sugar rush stripey? I think that's the word order, and only 2 sprouted. But outside of that and the choco hab, i had pretty good success sprouting. I'm in southeast Texas where it's summer until October so maybe I could try to sprout a few more... maybe.
