OK, here it is, the latest release of a Pepper X pepper sauce - designed by Ed Curry for 'The Hot Ones, Last Dab'.

DISCLAIMER: This is only the second time I have ordered from 'The Heatonist' in the past 3-years. and I just noticed that BuzzFeed owns the rights to 'First We Feast'; 'Hot Ones'; and 'The Last Dab'. That said, this is the last time I will order from the heatonist, and I am not recommending anyone else order from here either, but I am reviewing this sauce in all fairness to Ed Curry and my predilection for all things hot.

Now that's out of the way - this sauce is great. It starts off really fruity and is quickly supplanted by a slow burn. The burn increases over time and it leaves the taster, for lack of a better term, refreshed. It is a burn to be desired. This will be a great addition to gumbo. I really didn't want to like this sauce, but it is great; makes me yearn greater for the opportunity to grow my own Pepper X.

Ingredients:

Pepper X pepper; Distilled Vinegar; Pepper X pepper powder; and Pepper X pepper distillate

A bit turned-off by the 'distillate' as I am a purist for heat levels, but it served well. All-in-all, I would give this sauce in aggregate consumption 800k - 900k SHU. If you do not want to support BuzzFeed, hopefully you know someone that already fucked that up and bought it - then you must try it!

I have two other Pepper X sauces to review... I only have one of them here with me, the other is long gone but I can give the name of it for anyone interested

Yes I'd like the names! We're approaching winter season and our hot sauce consumption skyrockets
