Finally, a showcase of this year's Dragon's Breath peppers. I was apprehensive about them actually popping this year, not many on the plant but I'll take what I can get - this is the 3rd year trying. Sliced the larger one (on the right) in half then again, and tried it. Slightly fruity, very light floral tones, the capsicum-chinense was barely noticeable (unusual for super-hots); I wouldn't say as tasty as a red Reaper but these are smokin' hot nonetheless. Heat is a builder with middle-of-the-tongue and roof-of-the-mouth to soft palette burn (also unusual), heat took longer to peak than a Reaper. I have another hot sauce recipe I'm creating as we 'speak' to try this weekend that these will go in to - will post once created. -Slainte Mhaith!
