I remember that game. You got to select the name and race of the characters in your party. I always picked an elf / wizard for the spell caster and named him Elwiz. My paladin / bobbit (they couldn't use hobbit) was named Palbo . It was a pain in the ass though because you had to keep feeding them to keep up their health. My two thieves (you needed thieves to pick the locks on many doors) were always running out of food. I can't tell you how many times I read the message: " Jewboy and Niggerthief have starved to death."
Nice, I always named my thief Shekelpincher. I haven't played this version yet, but on the Amiga version you just had to watch the wall tiles like a hawk for stashed food rations. They took the Dungeon Master "hidden items in the walls" mechanic into overdrive.
