For the lulz, I looked at the history of "Honda" article headlines from Teslarati. They read like a story of anything but a well thought out strategy for EVs. Creates the impression of a disjointed "throw money at this", "joint venture with that" tale rather than a streamlined effort.

Feels like parts of the company believed they could sit this one out, other parts threw money at projects with negative return on investment that made for a good press release in, what seems like, misguided activism. Some of it, like the hydrogen boondoggle, reeks of denial and desperation.

It's hard for legacy automakers to change course or even admit that they should, see my post on VW: https://poal.co/s/Germany/796994 Search for "vw operating loss"

One of the things I don't understand about some of these electric wannabees is they can't make a car that looks like a car. The garbage that honda came up with looks cool, but ultimately people want something that looks like a Buick sedan.

My thoughts exactly. There's a don't-buy-me price and there's don't-buy-me design.
