The article almost has TDS about the whole thing, but this company has been around for 11 years. If they couldn't figure it out by now, they weren't going to.

Baffling.

To “charge” a typical EV in 5 minutes, you’d need:

700–900 kW of power

1,000–2,000 amps depending on voltage

Cables the size of a python

Connectors that could double as arc‑welding equipment

A battery chemistry that can survive 12C charge rates without turning into a space heater

And that’s before you even get into grid requirements. A single 5‑minute charger would draw as much power as:

A small grocery store, or

A city block of homes, or

A locomotive

They wanted to swap batteries. Title is clickbait.

The bottleneck is the batteries.

Battery companies that are working on better batteries are conditionally interesting.

Battery companies that are building vending machines for swapping them aren't.

A ponzi scheme that convinced people that don't understand electrical principles stole 330 million before going bankrupt.

If only there was some law of physics that dictated how much power you could shove into a battery across time.

They wanted to replace the battery packs on the fly. The title is clickbait.

India has a system that uses aluminum ion batteries and hydraulic lifts to remove and replace the pack. Looked interesting, but it's pajeet so I doubt it'll ever get anywhere past conception

I seem to remember China babbling about something similar.

Oh...didn't read...but yeah, you can't recharge that fast but you can swap.

I think only NIO ist left as a serious contender. https://www.niostats.com/

Can't see that tech going anywhere in the long run. Too many issues, too little benefit. Their stock is in the tank as of right now.

Just replace the plutonium core. They're sold in blister packs of twelve at every station. Whoops, wrong time line.

And some kike got paid. That's the real problem. Anything else doesn't matter.
