I've been using a community (co-op) fiber company for years now. It started in 1952 as a rural telephone co-op. I get one gig for under $70. The service has never gone down except during a power outage. Since it's a co-op I get money back every quarter based on company profits. I've always gotten a check, sometimes small but sometimes a decent amount. The company was founded and is based in the town known as the Birthplace of the Confederacy. It's where the Secession Stone is located on Secession Hill.

When internet your company thinks that raping you then laughing when you complain maybe you are kind of a piece of shit that everyone hates. Rot in hell comcast/xfinity/etc.

Whenever the fiber company gets to my area, I'm tossing Xfinity like a faggot off a muslim roof

I'm lucky enough to have 2 copper, a fiber, and a cellular company serve this area.

I can usually get good service for around $40 a month.

God I wish! T mobile and Verizon both get shit reception at both my house and my work. And isp...we can use Xfinity (90 a month for 1gbs), or CenturyLink, which last time I checked it was 80 for 40 mbs

Ugh...both of those names make my asshole pucker up. I have Spooktrum here...They bought Insight years ago. It's ok, 600mbps for $40 is a decent enough price.

Used to have WOW, they bought the AmeriCast system from Ameritech / Ohio Bell years ago. I've heard the system was patched together with love, tape, and the know-how of the WOW people, and Breezeline got the pig in a poke treatment. AT&T fiber is the other local, but I don't like the way they do the NATless stuff on consumer fiber.
