There are many but I tend to like SciFi, AI, Cyberpunk, etc.. I read a bit of LitRPG for random amusement and for something braindead when I am in the mood. I don't think I have a favorite of that though. I could dig through a few and give a suggestion or two if anyone is interested.

The two series I like (I have posted many times before).

  1. The Singularity series by William Hertling (first book is Avogadro Corp).
  2. The Daemon Series by Daniel Suarez (First book is "Daemon" the 2nd is "Freedom (TM)".)

Otherwise I just read anything and everything. I am sure my posting shows that for the most part.

Histoical- pillars of the Earth, Marius' Mules, etc, but dabble in some SciFi, lots of military History to support my model building, and a good browse in a bookstore is never a waste.

It's so difficult to choose. I mean there's (((political science))), (((economics))), (((science)) and (((biography))) all competing for the top spot. I guess if I did have to choose just one, it would be (((culture))) because it's filled with fascinating and hilarious works of fiction.

(((History))) is also a great source for hilarious works of fiction.

Indeed it is. (((History))) of the last couple of centuries are especially chock full of hilarious and inventive stories. I'd say at least 6 gorrillion such fictional stories.

The funniest thing about (((history))) is finding older encyclopedias that have no mention of said (((history))).
