I picked up a copy of this book and it's sequel, Metamagical Themas years ago, and still struggle to understand it's contents. They are great texts to exercise your logical mind, with plenty of diagrams, anecdotes and small stories in between.
I haven't read the entire article yet because it is in some ways even denser than the books, but it's always nice to have more reading material queued up.
