Stoicism is based on personal responsibility guided by a moral compass of self discipline and frugality. To treat others as you wished to be treated "while sober". The concept only works in a Society that executes their insane defectives while legally enslaving the self medicated druggies/drunks. A beautiful concept that requires one to be vulnerable to predators and abuse of power at the local level.

That's a very interesting take, I will keep it in mind. I don't plan on making stoicism my religion, but I'm sure quite a bit can be gleaned from the subject. Better than Taoism..
