Yes the general public is completely lacking in self reflection. At times I find myself falling into that same trap and have to slap myself and point out my own hypocrisy. We've been made lazy and turned into consumerist automatons. While I still have some grasp on the past when we were not so far gone, I think it's important for me to try to slap people around so they can see that they are asleep at the wheel and we're careening down a mountain pass with no brakes and on black ice. It's frustrating, but sometimes I get a win and it's worth it. Little by little we make some progress towards sanity but it is going to take a lot more work to get back to that. One day we will get there again, hopefully within our lifetimes.
