My grandparents did that...beautiful hardwood floors in the bedrooms...covered with carpet.

Yah my house has asbestos on the upstairs floors. As long as you don't disturb it, the asbestos in clay binder is harmless.

I remember painting my nana's house with asbestos shingles. The aunt that got the house in the will was told it was cheaper to leave it in place than removing because of 100% recovery regulation(s).
