A Netflix original I've been watching it on Netflix and seen it on lets say other sites. Really brutal fighting, the guys are killers and do not fight fair in the least. Baki is a 17 year old that is the champion martial fighter in Japan at the time though no one in school knows it. He is being challenged by all these deadly fighters and they are all looking to win or to feel defeat for the first time. Truly good storyline and character development is also top notch.

Have you seen the Fist of Nothstar?

I saw that Baki was on Netflix. Was debating on to watch it or not. I was a fan of the art when it first came out as a Manga series.

I haven't seen it before, I could check it out. Baki is just brutal and gorey.

Fist of North Star is gore. Exploding people all over the place. However, it’s a huge classic and a need to know show. Character development is rather deep and gets you ponder about the bad guys. Some you will even like.

I gave it a shot but with the 80's animation and graphics and low quality sound I had to stop. Just to old to enjoy for me. The fighting gore was not that gory and just a few cuts unlike that splatter in Baki and poking out eyes and even cutting a guys hand of with a molecular wire, fighting with broken glass and a guy twisting a broken bottle into another guys face. Just classy fight scenes.

Yeah, the quality is low. But that along with Gundam are the 2 majors you have to watch. Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock (starblazer writer) are also standards.

Too bad the quality was so bad.

As for gundam I didn't like all the girly emotions and I'm not into giant robots. Heck for older stuff I started with Akira which I'll still watch occasionally, then it was cowboy beebop, outlaw star, and kenshun. I also liked when I was new to anime Howls moving castle just for the great animation. I also liked Kekkaishi a lot, the original FLCL, and one of my older favorites was Bleach. I used to like dragon ball but it got old but now I'm watching Dragon Ball Super and it's a lot different but still get stronger get stronger more powers so that's getting old also now.
