I got into anime pretty late, but can recommend two, but they are probably very obvious: Avatar: The Last Airbender. Great story. Great voice acting. Great character development. Great all around. Attack on Titan - Seasons 1 and 2. Working on 3. Not sure about it yet. Very different. Would go so far as to say horrifying / creepy? But a compelling story. Very interesting!
