I don't really have a waifu. All the way back in 2009 (holy shit, that's a long time ago.) there was the anime Spice and Wolf. "Came to see naked wolf-girl, stayed for the plot." There was no season 2, so I picked up the manga, and then when I realized I don't like manga, picked up the light novel. Now that there is a proper adaptation going on, I can tell you it's really good, even when I never watched it. I did enjoy the light novels, and would recommend them, the new {Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf} I'm not watching.
I’ll have to check that out. I’m not much of a manga or LN guy either, but I am always looking for good shows.
Actually it’s kind of weird waifus are a thing, since half of these waifus are part of harems a hero accumulates because he’s basically indifferent to all of them. Basically the fact that you even picked a waifu is why you’ll never be an anime protagonist.
Wow, that remake is pretty fresh. Scheduled release date is this month.
If you pick it up and would like to discuss it, I wouldn't mind telling you what I think. Having the light novels, there's a few afterword's that Isuna Hasekura left that are interesting.
