The 2070 Super isn't as good as my 1080ti, I have both, and neither is enough for my use case. I need the 3080 bare minimum. Can't get it, won't pay scalper jews, will wait.
You know what? I noticed a lot of the GTX cards are just as good if not better than the new RTX ones, and they’re incredibly difficult to find right now.
It pisses me off how all these tech companies release all this new garbage and it’s basically the same shit with some gimmicky novelty feature added in.
For one, the 10 series was generally built rock solid, and the architecture has been proven to be more durable under sustained stress; the 20 series had a problem with burnouts, and its flagship was only a smidge better than the old flagship. Nvidia just didn't put out a product worthy of a new generation with the RTX, gave them much higher MSRPs, and the generation was mostly a half-measure gimmick like you said. The 30 series is the true successor. They're solid and have great MSRPs, but we can't even get them so the point is moot.
