With all the censorship going on at youtube I had considered canceling my premium membership some time ago. When the bitch initiated her last purge, I basically lost all my subscription creators. I did like youtube but now it sucks. The few that are left are shit anyway. Since I canceled, any video there is unwatchable as they are saturated with advertisements. So these creators pump their ads then youtube constantly interrupting with faggoty trash. What a waste. Hopefully something changes soon.

No commercials, and download videos. Also you can shut off your screen and still play videos. Im a farmer and there's no internet or cell coverage in my fields. So being able to DL was handy so I could spend the day listening through an earpiece.

Ublock origin for the ads or adblock. And just google yt download and you can find dozens of sites that only need the url and it will make a file that you can download. I do that all the time. Buying youtube premium is retarded

Classic YouTube was amazing, the amount of knowledge, DIY training, philosophy - it was the sum of Earth's knowledge beamed into your home.

If censorship and pure evil wasn't a thing, I would probably have YT Premium for the ad free music, science, and engineering content. But much of that is moving to LBRY and such companies shouldn't be supported anyway.

I was in the exact same boat when the deplatforming started back in 2017. Cancelled my subscription in protest.

Why, why did I have to click on this. I have a 32" monitor god damn it, took about 15 seconds for my eyes to adjust to this EXTREME redness everywhere.

Like others mentioned,there are so many alternatives,sure they might not be as convenient,but truly, they aren't hard to use and do not take that much time.

Well, my kids watch cartoons and shit on YouTube and it was nice not to subject them to ads. But there's always the skip button.
