While I mainly use the website, because it enables using , a friend has recently discovered a funny glitch in the YouTube app version 15.38.35, which he sadly could not reproduce.
When switching between apps and back to YouTube, playback somehow resumed t around 10× speed and accordingly high pitched audio (side note: using the speed bookmarklet in the browser, audio is not pitched at all, thankfully).
Just writing it here in case anyone has also observed it happening once or more.
