According to a post on the fire authority's Facebook Page Laramie County Fire Districts 1, 3, 4, 5. 6 and 10, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne Fire Rescue and the Wyoming Air National Guard all helped fight the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The post quotes Erin Edwards of the fire authority as saying "We observed fire whirls, which is unusual for this time of year." Edwards went on to say "It highlights just how dry conditions are right now.
