Of all the species we have deleted, why ticks aren't at the top of the list I'll never understand.
Ticks, mosquitos, biting flies, parasitic worms... I'm probably missing a few.
Who cares? There's no lyme disease. Deer ticks can't survive the elevation and climate.
Not true. Lyme has been found all over Wyoming. Same with chronic wasting disease. Some people they they are related.
I think the wasting disease is prions, which are nasty as hell and incurable. Lyme has only been found in Wyoming from people traveling, mostly from back east. Deer ticks can't survive in Wyoming, Colorado and the desert states. It's too dry.
I guess we are both right then? Ticks infected by people from back east infected people in Wyoming/Colorado.
