Kevin Joseph Mendibles, 37, pleaded guilty to the brutal murder of Inez Whiteman, 37, in a plea deal that lowered the charge to second-degree murder. Mendibles' statement to police was that 'he wanted to feel it' as he savagely assaulted Whiteman, Assistant attorney Michael Elmore told the court. Mendibles was arrested in July 2024 and faced life imprisonment with up to a $250,000 fine after he was charged with killing Whiteman in her home on 25 February 2024.
