Came to question the legality of it too, because confiscation of assets based on nationality is highly likely illegal.. i really do not like the 'highly likely" -part, but the problem is that those wanting to impose sanctions and so on, doesn't give two fucks about concepts like "law", "ethics" and "basic human rights"..

They'll claim ties to Putin and even the flimsiest proof will be sufficient.

Once the precedent is set, and I believe it already has been, this law can be used to strip anyone of any property, anywhere in the world, provided you have the actual physical means to take it.

In other words, same as it ever was.
