People are going to have to lose their heads before this whole sad affair is finished. I just hope it's the right heads that get lopped off. You know, I used to wonder why the French felt the need to cut off the heads of so many aristocrats and intellectuals during the French revolution of 1789. But today I understand -- when tyranny and oppression get so out of control that even reality itself is mocked and ignored by those who rule, the entire world cries out for blood to wash away the corruption and insanity. The cutting off the heads in Paris in 1789 was a kind of purging of the French zeitgeist. And I am very much afraid that we need a similar kind of purge of the fascist elite who control our corporations, universities, and political parties today. We need to be cleansed in blood. Nothing else will wash our society clean of their filth.
