Can you really call it an American coup? Russia effectively paid and bought off enough politicians to keep them outta NATO and the EU during the 90s... after the fall of the Soviet Union (KGB never fell, even putin is ex-kgb). Then one day they just went and took back resource rich Crimea and no one did a damned thing... What legal reason would justify any action on behalf of NATO or the EU?
