I remember when everyone mocked her as a paranoid xenophobe for that speech. She was an obstructionist standing in the way of the future... Now you look back and she had the wisdom of a prophet. This was before the tyranny of Brussels, the ramming through of the Lisben Treaty, before the forced re-votes because the elites diddn't like the results, before the undemocratic bureaucracy, before the common currency, before all of it. This was back when it was just negotiations and the other side kept promising that there would be no loss of sovereignty, no EU army, no forced migration... it was just open trade and economic growth!
