Millions demonstrate in Iraq against US troops. "Get out of our land before we take them out," the participants chant.

In Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, millions of protesters of all social components, filled the streets on Friday to demand the withdrawal of US forces from the country.

Protesters flock to Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, raising Iraqi flags.

The Al-Mayadeen correspondent reported that several people, political currents and supporters of the resistance factions, as well as Iraqi clans, attended the one millionth demonstration.

He noted that protesters flock to Tahrir Square from various regions to participate in the millionaire demonstration, considered the first in terms of its mass to denounce the foreign presence in the country.

According to our correspondent, the message that the Iraqis are sending is that the Resistance factions have a large popular base and will press to implement Parliament's decision to end the presence of US troops.

He also indicated that protesters chanted slogans condemning the American presence, such as: "leave our land before we take them out."

Al-Husseini for Al-Mayadeen: “the options of the answer are ready, and there is a high disposition for it in the military and through diplomatic actions” The military spokesman of the Hizbullah Brigades of Iraq, Jaafar Al-Husseini, said from Al-Tahrir Square to Al-Mayadeen that Iraqis with one voice affirm their rejection of the US presence.

"When we talk about the sovereignty of Iraq, we find unanimity that the country should be free from any occupation. When we deal with a problem of principle, we see that all factions share the decision to reject the occupation and put an end to the American presence." he stressed.

Al-Husseini emphasized that "if US forces do not leave, there will be other methods ready to apply in the field of action."

He also stressed that "Iraq cannot be prevented from owning its own decision and it has become clear to our people that the United States has other goals in the country."

He also stressed that "when we talk about corruption and fragility, this is due to the US presence in Iraq."

The military spokesman also stressed that the US presence in Iraq is illegal "and it is our right to defend the country and exercise all available options."

He added that "the answers are inevitable and the result is to get Americans not only from Iraq but from the entire region."

The Iraqi parliamentarian of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Naím Al-Aboudi, told Al Mayadeen - from the square where the crowds are located - that the current position is unified among all Iraqis, in rejection of the foreign presence, and added that "The main objective is to expel foreign occupation of the land from Iraq and for this all possibilities are open."

Al-Aboudi indicated that the political discrepancy is normal, but at crucial moments, the position is only one, especially when it comes to expelling the occupation. He noted that, like the Great Iraqi Revolution of 1920, this day will also be an important moment in the history of the nation that will leave its mark on the entire region.

The "Saraya Al-Salam" spokesman, Safaa Al-Tamimi, also told Al-Mayadeen that the number of protesters was very large and that all the seats were full.

Al-Tamimi emphasized that the air force that was used by the so-called International Coalition had undermined many liberation operations against Daesh.

He said that what is happening today is a popular referendum on the rejection of the American presence and that the numbers involved in today's movement are very large.

He noted that "there will be other measures if the US occupation forces do not leave Iraq," and noted that "all observers and all free people in the world are following this demonstration and thus the message has arrived."

He considered that "all those who bet on the fragmentation and division of Iraq and among their own children are delusional."

He said that "a large number of protesters from all provinces attended today to corroborate the message that corruption and occupation are two sides of the same coin."

The Secretary General of the Babylonian Movement of the Iraqi Parliament, Rayan Kaldani, told Al-Mayadeen that the people, with all its components, stood up against the US military presence, and that they chose for this the peaceful and legal way that led them to put an end to the US forces, although he stressed that "all options are open."

He noted that there is a strong participation of all religious religious sects and all raise the Iraqi national flag.

Well that's not like all this was supposed to last for 20 years or so

It has to happen at some point, everybody knows this, and that's also part of the problem
