The same Trump that said he wanted us out of the middle east? Maybe we should take this as an excuse to leave and just go. I do understand stand that this would lead to Iran expanding their influence over Iran, that is a consideration. It could likely be the the reason Trump wants to stay, but in that case it may as well be a permanent deployment. The situation with Iran is not changing anytime soon.
