At least one person was killed and a dozen others were injured when a car plowed into a crowd in a popular shopping district in Berlin on Wednesday morning, police said.

"It is not yet known whether it was an accident or intentional action," the Berlin Police said in a statement via Twitter.

Mass murder by vehicle. They need to enact common sense vehicle laws.

For starters, no need need for automatic transmissions.

Ban all vehicles. Then they should sue the car manufactures for allowing the vehicles to kill for the people that illegally operate them.

No one really needs anything more than a horse and buggy setup. The Amish manage just fine.

There has been a number of attempts to do just that. Automobile manufacturers are liable for defects in their products, but not for misuse. (Which makes sense.) How many times have you heard of the Feds trying to force the installation of breathalyzer technology into cars? I can remember a few.
