If carbon emissions were of concern as they claim they are their first priority would be sending the shitskins back ASAP to reduce their carbon footprint.
They will make it available for purchase, like they do now.
For Ukraine, maybe not so much.
Ukraine buys the gas from Europe anyway. Their problem is that they don't have the money and European and American taxpayers are reluctant to fill the gap.
Anyone who thinks it is a good thing to have their source of winter heat controlled by Russia is a fool. This was deliberately done by the globo-fascists, to put Europe into a position of dependency.
Gas supply from Russia wasn't even a problem in the cold war, business is business. The problem is that the gas storage facilities are empty because the pipeline is late, and that the US cannot deliver the promised LNG because of less fracking.
