I'd be more interested in whether they move into the airfield in Kandahar. It would mean that they're opening trade routes for Helmand province's principle cash crop.
Currently the opium and heroin trade goes overland out through Pakistan and Iran, 80% of which goes to Europe. The chinese have a long history with trafficking opium as a consumer product. Nothing new. "Business is business, and money is money."
