Satellites are small burn up quickly as seen here: https://youtu.be/gA0vrXAMtMI For something to light up a night sky like the sun, or be brighter than the sun in the day, it would either need a lot more mass than a satellite, or be made of something that chemically reacts with our atmosphere to create a reaction which is brighter than most burning up satellites.
