This one I made for my wife, for our anniversary. I used a slightly different style for this one.

She's a blonde haired, blue eyed beauty of mostly Irish descent, who broke her nose in a car accident many years ago. She's incredibly self conscious about that which is why she actually dislikes this piece. Her silhouette doesn't truly give depth but her nose is actually crooked, pushed out to one side.

I wondered how long before someone pointed that out.

Looks good. I'm not a fan of the way you cut out the back of the silhouettes, but it's your art and a fine job nonetheless.

I don't disagree. I couldn't get the angles I really would have preferred. The piece didn't originally have the backs cut out. I was attempting to carve the words "love you more" but I severely messed up. I'm newish to woodcarving with chisels. To salvage the piece I had to do some cutting to remove the words. This is also why it's not cut from a single piece of wood like my others. It was one piece but got cut up.

That's awesome that you are new. That means we get to watch your skills evolve over time. Looking forward to more...
