Cool, how was doing the epoxy floor? Was thinking of doing that on basement floor/ walls on a 4x6 root cellar. Good to teach the kids that being handy is a skill they can do.
It was surprisingly easy. I was worried I'd screw it up, but once I started i realized just how easy it was. One kit supposedly does 100-120 square feet, I bought 2 for a 100 square ft room. So my suggestion is to double what they consider minimum. I'm glad I listened to my instinct because I don't know how there could be enough in 1 kit to do the square footage it recommended. It's literally as easy as taking a paint roller to the floor. You pour a couple inch wide strip unto the floor and roll it out. Swirl circles into when done then move back towards the door and do again. Take 8 hours to walk on and 24 to drive on if in a garage. It self levels. Looks rough when you first finish but after an hour it looks amazing. Cost isn't too bad either. Between $1-2/ square foot. If I could figure out how to post a pic in the replies I'd show a picture of the floor I done. It has a burnished copper finish. I got the supplies from Menards.
Lol, made a trip to Menards this morning, I will have to add that to my shopping list for next time. For me tile work is really fun. Not easy on the knees but what a difference to have back splashes or heated tile bathroom floors...
I swear every time I walk in that store for one thing I walk out with several hundred dollars worth. Lol Tile is beautiful if done right. I've never installed tile myself, but I've watched it done many times.
