I gave the first season a try. It was bad. The show looks great, you can tell they put money into it, but the story was awful. The acting didn't help either. I was willing to give the second season a try if they took the criticism and improved, but all reviews said it was just as bad if not worse. I didn't bother watching it. It's really a shame. As someone who read the LOTR three times and is a huge fan of the films, this a major disappointment and a lost opportunity.
